What:	8th Annual Unity Fest
Where:	Drake Field Elgin, Illinois East of Route 25 in Elgin
When:	Saturday, July 12th 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Notes:	Kids, Kritters and Family Fun Annual Festival featuring weiner dog races, hand-walked pony rides, children's games and entertainment, door prizes, bingo for adults, picnic faire, and pet rescue organizations including MWDR. Dachshund Races will be at 3 o'clock and all proceeds will go to MWDR Chris Verstraete will be there signing copies of her Dachshund Mystery Book. What:	German Fest-Dachshund Races
Where:	Milwaukee Lake Front Milwaukee, Wi
When:	Sat. July 26th, 2008 3:15pm Registration of Contestants: 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Costume Contest: 1 to 1:30 p.m. German Fest Parade: 2 p.m., featuring last year's Doxie Winner, "Frankie," and the winner of the 2008 Costume Contest. "Blessing of the Doxies" by Father John Allen of St. Mark's Episcopal Church in South Milwaukee: 3 p.m. Wiener Dog Races: 3:15 p.m. Dachshund Awards Presentation: 4 p.m.
