Dodger
This is just to thank you for bringing Dodger to us. There is no way we
could ever give him up -- he's an amazing dog and we love him very
much.
Every day he is more and more comfortable being with us, and now I
think he knows when I leave for work that I will come home to him. He
still has to be in the same room with you every minute, but I think
that will pass. Dodger is still happy, friendly, and full of fun.
You can tell his foster mother that he still looks like he is jumping
around on springs like Tigger -- he jumps and bounces all over the
place. Also, he has had no accidents in the house in the past few
days, and is using the dog door to go potty, and also just to explore
the yard and check out anybody passing by. We continue to reinforce
every time he goes out with a Bil Jac treat and tell him he's a
"good boy!" As weather permits, I plan to take him out to
visit more neighbors and some new dog friends.
He and Sadie chase each other around the house and have been playing
more and more. He does not let her push him around, nor does he try
to dominate her -- it's a good match. Sometimes when Sadie is playing
with one of her toys she "play growls" -- we call it talking, and Dodger
rushes over to "defend" us from her and barks at her. It's
really cute.
He's a great lap dog. He is letting me get more of the matting and
snarls out of his ears. We are giving him a fish oil supplement and
check out the supplement MWDR receommended -- his coat
should fit his personality! He has made a good transition to the
Eukanuba dry and it's funny to watch him eat because he sits down and
eats one nugget at a time. He seems uninterested in any dog biscuits
we've offered him, but believe me, he's not starving!
So far he has not tried to escape from anywhere, and does come when
you call him. His first owners taught him well. I wish I could tell
him or her what a joy he is to us, and that he seems most happy in
his hew home. It's a great match! Thanks again, and thanks to MWDR
for bring us together. Bobbie and Rod
