Phoebe

Phoebe has been with me now for two years and I couldn't love her more.

It didn't take long for her and Sadie to work out their order of things -- where Sadie goes, Phoebe follows with her little legs working overtime trying to keep up. My cat DaisyMae is an attention hound and will love up to anything or anyone. When Phoebe is her target for some rubbing, Phoebe will look at me like "Why does she do this?", but they love each other come bedtime and snuggle close together in a heap.

Little Phoebe has learned so much since coming to me. She started out so timid and fearful. Although she is still quite shy around strangers, if they're calm and still, she is too curious not to check them out. She loves smelling every gopher hole and bird dropping in the yard and fancys herself quite a hunter. I think she truly believes that someday she'll catch something!

Her health is good, no problems there. She had a teeth cleaning about 6 months ago and didn't lose any teeth. Although the vet is watching and says that probably next time, at least one will have to come out.

Unfortunately, Sadie isn't faring quite as well. She had back surgery about a year before we got Phoebe and had been doing fabulously until now. She's losing bladder control and had another episode with the dreaded disk disease. I pray for no more episodes. She now wears a diaper in the house, which is a small inconvience for my baby.

I can't thank you enough for bringing Phoebe into my life. I smile every time I see her loving her life, enjoying laying in the sun, begging for belly rubs and snuggling in bed. To be able to give her a great second half of her life to make up for the first gives me such satisfaction.

The website is great and I go to it periodically and wish that I could take another doxie! Thank you for the great work that you do, and thank you for Phoebe.
