Puffin
Adopted April, 2006
I wanted to let you know how wonderful Puffin is doing. It's been 6 months and I can't imagine him not being a part of our family. He and my other dachsie, Oscar, were having some issues sorting out who the alpha male in the house was. All is well now -- they are the best of friends. They curl up together in the same bed (even though there are three beds in the living room for them) and they both sleep in the big bed with me at night.

Puffin actually waits at the step for Oscar when they go outside. Oscar is now blind so I have to carry him down the steps to put him out, and Puffin won't leave the patio to go into the grass until he sees that Oscar is right behind him. He's such a good little brother!

Puffin LOVES his belly scratch time with Dad at night and he loves to go for walks when it's warm out. He mostly gets baby carrots for treats because he has gained a couple pounds since he came to live with us. (I had to put him on a diet and he doesn't like that part.)

Puffin is such a good boy and everyone loves him. He's perfect! I had a great experience adopting from MWDR and I will definitely be in touch when the sad day comes that I am looking for another friend for Puffin.

Thanks so much for bringing Puffin into our lives -- he's the best. I check the MWDR website every once in awhile just to see who's new on it and I always end up wanting to take one of them. (I should really stop looking at it.) You will definitely hear from me in the future. You can add Puffin to your many success stories. He living a very comfortable life with us!
