Success Stories

We don't just place dogs - we create friendships and family ties that last a lifetime.

Get to know a few of our recently adopted Dachshunds here! Did an MWDR dog change your life?

Jack

Jack is the sweetest dog ever.

Jackson (formerly Jack)
Jackson is a real sweetie and when he ‘talks’ he sounds like Chewbacca!
Jewels Marie (previously Jorie)

True Love....the only way I feel about my Jewels!

Katniss (fostered as Ladybug)
Before Katniss, my husband and I were just two people; Katniss made us a family.
Kirby
This is Kirby we adopted him on December 26th 2016 he was 4 months old when we got him. We were so lucky to have him as an addition to our family. He is very loving and loyal one of his quirks is he sleeps with his tongue out and he has a Mohawk
Lexi

I just love my little girl, Lexi. She makes our dachshund family complete!

Maggie
Maggie is a real sweetheart. She's a wonderful addition to our family.
Marzi (Mickey)
We just love our Marzi boy. He is the the best snuggler and face washer!
Miley Tannura
a very happy girl!!
Missy
Missy has been a great addition to our family. Not only Mark and Ellie alone but our kids and grandkids and their 3 dogs. She's a princess.
NWDR name was Cubby. We named her Wilhelmina
I tell people Wilhelmina is me in dog form. I am honored to be her human!
Oscar
It took 2 trips from Milwaukee to Iowa, but every mile was worth it. When not on his poppa's lap, Oscar is usually cuddling with his doxie brother, Hudson. He is such a love, and the most vocal doxie we have ever had. The variety of noises he can make make us laugh and smile no matter how bad we feel. We just love him to the moon and back!
Oskar (formerly known as Konni)
There was a hole in our hearts left by our beloved Moxley. Oskar came to heal our hearts and Gretchen's as well!
Otto (formally Snoopy)
Otto was such a loving presence in our lives. He was comfort, humor, and calm and my husband and I are so grateful to have had him.
Ozzie
We just love our little "center or attention" ...he definitely know how to soak it up!
