Murphy 20-003 Wheatfield, Indiana

Spread the word about this lovable Doxie:

Murphy is a very handsome - cream dapple - energetic, loveable and only 3 years old! Murphy is super friendly and loves everyone. He seems to befriend anyone instantly. He would make a great family pet especially for a family with older children that would love to play ball, walk, and cuddle with their buddy - Murphy. We would NOT suggest a family with small children because Murphy is a standard dachshund 20 lbs. and does not realize his size at times. He could easily knock over or frighten a toddler when playing or sitting in their lap. Murphy must have a young dog to be his buddy. Murphy loves, loves, loves to chase and wrestle with his foster furry brothers. A fenced yard where he can run off some of his energy is a requirement. Murphy is house trained and crate trained, but does have to potty frequently because he is diabetic.

Murphy would make a great addition to any family that is looking for a young active best friend. Murphy will need extra special daily care because he is diabetic - daily injections and monitoring his glucose levels + most importantly a strict diet - the same amount of food/treats at the same time daily.

Medical Information:

Murphy isa neutered male and is up to date on vaccinations - Rabies, Distemper, and Bordetella. His fecal and Heartworm Test were negative for parasites.

Murphy was born with diabetes. He does get insulin injections twice daily and must be monitored daily.
